Like this the Prophet was in Ramadan (1): Before its coming

Like this the Prophet (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) was in Ramadan

Almighty Allah ordered His servants of following His Prophet (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him), and He imposed obeying him as a duty upon them. And the way of the servant to reach that is by knowing his guiding (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him), and how he was in all his matters (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him). It is known by each Muslim that the Prophetic guiding is the greatest and most perfect guiding from all the guiding which have been known, ad how much the servant is close to the Prophet (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) and how much his deeds are close the deeds of the Prophet (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him), the servant graduates to the supreme level, and raises in the human perfection ascent.

And as Ramadan is from the greatest seasons of the Islam and their loftiest, and from the most propitious chances for the servant to make advances to Almighty Allah and gain His satisfaction, this is a try to know the guiding of the Prophet (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) in Ramadan, hoping it to be a guide for the doers and a light for the walkers, my success is just granted by Allah, I trust in Him and I return to Him. As I am afraid that the subject will be very long, and what is meant is to indicate with a kind of focusing on the sides which are important for the Muslim in his deeds and propagation, I will make the subject be limited to four cores:

First: The state of the Prophet (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) with Ramadan before its coming:

The Prophet (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) very ascetic in the life and he was very longing for what Allah has and the hereafter, and the best example of that is: he prepared practically to the month and he prepared himself to receive Ramadan a good receiving, he made his self active in the Islamic duties to get the whole chance and to supplicate all the entire season. Like this the guiding of the Prophet (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) in Ramadan, as the Prophet (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) did many things before it, from the most significant of them are:

* His increasing in fasting in Sha'aban (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) [1]. Aisha said: (I did not see him fasting in any month more than the month of, he was fasting all of the Sha'aban, he was fasting the whole of Sha'aban except few days) [2].

* His announcement (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) to his Companion of his coming and his preparing to them to make every effort in it by mentioning some of its properties and the doubling of the merits in it, from that his saying (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him):

(In the first night of Ramadan, the devils and the giant jinn will chain, not a single door from the doors of the Hellfire is then opened, not a single door from the doors of the paradise is then closed, and a caller will call: Oh seeker of the good, come! Oh seeker of the evil, go away! For Allah you are freed from the Hellfire, and that will be every night) [3].

* His showing (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) to his Companions for some of the rules of fasting, in this article some of them:

He did not fast Ramadan until a witness come and witnessed that he saw the crescent or after the completeness of Sha'aban which is thirty days, from Ibn Omar, he said: (The people saw the crescent and they told the Prophet that they saw it, so the Prophet fasted and ordered the people to fast it) [4].

Where are you from the preparing for Ramadan before its coming, as it is a chance guest for this nation, it comes to them, it reminds the inattentive from them, it helps the remindful from them, it activates their world, and it urges their determinations for doing their Islamic duties, so their mosques would be full, their selves would be generous, and their militant would grant victory… it is very worthy to prepare for it!

1. Check about that: AlFatih, 4/253.

2. Muslim (1156).

3. AlTurmuthi (682), and Alalbani corrected it in Sahih Sunan AlTurmothi (549).

4. Abu Dawud (2342), Mohaqiq Alzad said also: 2/38.
