Like this the Prophet was in Ramadan (2): With his Lord (1) the property of his fasting

His state (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) with his Lord in Ramadan

The Prophet (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) was the most knowing from the creation of His Lord, and the greatest of them in doing His right… He graduated in the ladder of the human perfection, so he reached a position that can not be understood by most of the people, as Allah forgave him for his previous and nest sins! Then he prayed in the night until his feet swelled and cleaved. He had the crying of the sinners and the moaning of the disobedient and the supplication of the grieved. And his state with his Lord in Ramadan is a living example describes his worshipping (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) and the forms of his obedience to his Creator, in many sides, the most significant of them are:

His fasting (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) in Ramadan:

This id clear, but what is meant from mentioning it despite its naturalness is to remind the people of some of the property of his fasting (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him), from that:

1- His last meal before daybreak, and he was delaying it, as he ate his last meal before daybreak before the dawn call to prayer by a short time, and also his fast breaking, and was urging his fast breaking, as he was breaking his fast before praying the sunset prayer, and he was breaking his fast with ripe dates or dates or water. And also he was modest in his fast breaking and in his last meal before daybreak. We realize here that the affectation which we see it in the fast breaking and the last meal before daybreak on the people is very far from the guiding of the Prophet (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him), that it widens the chance of the self by what diverts from and sets apart from the Islamic duties. So the shrewd judicious one must control the matter and curb it, without offering of weak excuses, like eating the good and welcoming the guest… which make us lose many good things. And let him take example of the Prophet (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) in what he knows from his deeds.

2- His supplication (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) as the fast breaking: (The thirst went, the veins became wet, and the remuneration was confirmed if Allah will) [5].

3- His cleaning to his teeth (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) during the fast, as A'amir Bin Rabeea'a said: (I saw him (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) cleaning his teeth incalculable times during his fast) [6].

4- His pouring to the water on his head (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) during his fast, for the saying of Abu Bakir Bin AbdullRahman, he said: (From some of the Companions of the Prophet (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him), he said: I saw the Prophet of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) pouring the water on his head because of the thirst or the heat) [7].

5- His continuing to his fast (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) to save the hours of his day and night for the worship, from Anas that the Prophet (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) said: (Do not continue. They said: you continue. He said: I am not like any one of you, I am fed and watered) [9].

6- His traveling (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) in Ramadan, and his fasting some times and his fast breaking in other times. From Tawis from Ibn A'abbass, he said: (The Prophet (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) traveled in Ramadan, he fasted until he reached A'assfan, then he called for a cup of water and drank from it to make the people see him and he broke his fast until he reached Mecca, and he said: Ibn A'abbass said: The Prophet fasted and broke his fast during the traveling, so any one can fast or break his fast [10]. Ibn AlQaim said: (it was not from his guiding (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) to limit the distance of the traveling, and he did not say about that anything … and the Companions broke their fast during the traveling and they told the people that it is from his guiding (may Allah's peace and blessing be upon him)… Mohammed Bin Ka'ab said: I came to Anas Ibn Malik in Ramadan and he was about to travel, he prepared for traveling and he was wearing the clothes of the travel, he called for the food and ate, so I asked him: is it from the Sunnah of the Prophet?, he said: yes, then he went) [11]. And whatever had been transmitted by the jurisprudence's Imams, about the fasting and the fast breaking during the travel is from his guiding (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him), and that what must be taken into consideration by the headlong people in denying the fast breaking or the fasting during the travel… as each one has his way and pretext.

7- His getting out (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) of the fast by a right view or by completing thirty days, on that his saying (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him) indicates: (Fast at its seeing, and break the fast at its seeing, and renounce worldly pleasures at its seeing, and if you did not see it, complete thirty days, and if two witnesses saw it, fast or break the fast) [12].

These are some sides which clear for the Muslim some of the property of his fasting (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him), which show that the Prophet was adhering to do all the morals and good deeds of fasting. And that urges the Muslim to see his fasting, and to make effort to in enhance it, to be more patterning after the example of the Prophet (May Allah's peace and blessing be upon him).

5. Abu Dawuud (2375), and Alalbani enhanced it in Sahih Alsunnan (2066).

6. AlTurmuthi (725), there is a difference in the opinions about the Hadith but it does not relate to the legitimacy of cleaning teeth during the fasting, and for the generality see Sahih Ibn Khazima 3/247.

11. Zad AlMua'ad 2/55 56, and the track of Ibn Ka'ab, AlTurmuthi transmitted it (799), and he said: (good Hadith), and Alalbani enhanced it in Sahih Alsunnan (641).

12. AlNisa'ai (2116), and Alalbani enhanced it in Sahih Alsunnan (1997).
